Kaitlin began her wedding day at Terrain Gardens, arriving photo ready and calm, which set the tone for a relaxed and seamless afternoon. With sage, blush, cream, rose gold, gold, and subtle rust tones woven throughout the details, every element felt cohesive and thoughtfully chosen. From her gown to the carefully styled decor, it was clear how much intention went into creating a day that felt true to them.
Daniel also got ready on site, allowing both sides of the morning to flow naturally without rushing or travel stress. This made it easy to capture candid moments, meaningful interactions, and those quiet in between moments that often become favorites later.
A First Look and Portraits Before the Ceremony
Kaitlin and Daniel chose to do a First Look and complete all of their portraits before the ceremony, which is something I always recommend when couples want to fully enjoy their celebration. Their First Look took place among the nursery paths and under the altar, surrounded by greenery and soft natural light.
We spent time capturing couple portraits throughout Terrain’s grounds, including under the altar and later returning during golden hour for additional portraits as the light softened. The result was a beautiful mix of editorial inspired images and genuine, candid moments that felt effortless and unforced.
An Intimate Ceremony Under the Altar
Their ceremony took place beneath Terrain’s iconic altar, with greenery and florals framing the space in the most organic way. Officiated by Kaitlin’s cousin, the ceremony felt personal and heartfelt, with an intimate atmosphere that reflected exactly who they are as a couple.
Without a receiving line after the ceremony, Kaitlin and Daniel were able to move smoothly into family portraits and then cocktail hour, keeping the energy relaxed and allowing the timeline to stay on track.
